RALLY

Howard Hampton will be in Brantford at the Labour Center. 1100 Clarence St for a 10 am rally Wednesday JUNE 13th. Job loss and the current treatment of workers after a plant closure are going to be the focus. The Easton Coatings Exec will be meeting with Howard just before the rally. Then at 10am to speak to those attending and the media.

For those of you reading this, you probably realize that this is for TOMMORROW so pass this information along, to the best of your abilities.

I will be in attendance, I am certain that Genfast will not get lost in the shuffle, it should be as important to us as it is to anyone who still has a job, and could lose it.

I will also be attending an invitation to speak about the Genfast situation at the Best Western. This should prove interesting. A person from Dura and Bluebird will also be in attendance.

I have done one of these publicly, at the Hamilton City Hall with the councillors, mayors, MPs and MPPs.

This one may prove interesting, well see what happens.

I will update you...

We had the rally in front of the Brant Labour Center to highlight Easton Coatings being treated similarly to us. Wages and Vacation pay not yet received, no severance, no termination, no job. A good crowd from Easton, and there was excellent representation from Genfast. There were also people from the Brant NDP and Koolatron.

I was to attend a "job loss" seminar at the Best Western. It was a tight schedule and I had hoped to take one person from Easton with me as well. I was aware that the people involved were going to be Toby Barrett the Conservative MPP for Haldimand, and then 2 other Conservative MPPs one from Cambridge and one from Woodstock. There were also to be businesses in attendance. I was interested in hearing about Cambridge, as there has been significant job loss there in manufacturing from what I am aware. I was also interested in hearing from the business sector.

Perhaps it was good luck that the Easton Coatings rally went on longer then I thought it would, and couldn't attend.
