It ain't easy out there..

On June 14, 2009, Cadillac Fairview locked out 61 unionized maintenance and skilled trades employees at the Toronto Dominion Bank Towers in Toronto, Canada.

On July 14, 2009, Cadillac Fairview terminated all those 61 Toronto Dominion Centre employees.

On July 22, 2009, during a solidarity rally hosted by CUPE 79 & 416 and CEP 2003 outside the TD Centre, Peter Kormos addressed the crowd. How interesting is it that the Cadillac-Fairview Corp. is owned by the Ontario Teacher's Pension Fund.
Surely the teacher's union could speak to their managers about fair negotiation practices. I don't believe that a union would want to profit from the brutality of quashing other union's rights.
Kormos should inquire into this.
